About Sallyann Keizer

Hello! I’m Sally, Head of Happyness, as the team calls me. Silly title, I know, but it makes everyone giggle including me, so we’ve stuck with it. I’m the founder of the Happynesshub and I am passionate about our work. I’ve spent years reading about happiness and emotional wellbeing, putting the research into practice, and trying to navigate the ups and downs of life’s rollercoaster ride. My dream is to share the work and the love, for each of of us to fulfil our individual potential, and to ultimately make the world a happier place.

Weekly Words 3rd April

The work I do on the Bow-Wowza side of things and children’s TV production has taught me just how important relationships are, not just for children, but for everyone. These past days I’ve been spending a fair bit of time prepping for my upcoming talks - as the International Day of Happiness next weekend fast approaches. Weekly Words 6th March

In 2019, I wrote a blog on ‘Time Is…’, reflecting on, well, what time is; in my case, often scarce! I read back on the words I wrote, musing over my long to-do list and the feeling of constantly playing catch up, and realise, with neither great amusement nor great dismay, that the [...]

This third lockdown has perhaps felt the hardest of them all for many. But I think this moment, on the precipice of spring and on the road out of lockdown, is a great one to reflect on the good things that have sprung from lockdown. So, I asked the team at Happynesshub HQ to [...]

Weekly Words 20th February

This week, Tim D drew my attention to a little gem that featured on the evening news. A recent study conducted by Travelodge has indicated that the pandemic has in fact increased levels of kindness! Could you imagine nicer news? (Perhaps, maybe an end to the pandemic I hear you cry!). The areas [...]

Weekly Words 13th February

Amidst this Bow-Wowza busy-ness and snowy sunshine, there persists the uncertainty of these strange times. And I know I’m not alone in finding myself frequently looking around and asking the question on everyone’s lips: ‘what’s going to happen, and when?!’. As ever, the Happynesshub tools are of great comfort to me - in [...]

Weekly Words 30th January

How are you feeling as we turn out of January and into the next month? I can’t say I’ll be too sad to see the back of January – it’s been quite a difficult month in many ways, and while I’m sure there are challenging times anew to come, there are lots of [...]
