In a time when it can feel like the entire world has ground to a halt and that life is moving at a pace slower than a snail coated in superglue; it can be easy to forget life’s greatest virtue: patience.

In life, it can always feel like you’re waiting for that good thing to come along, and all that waiting can make you frustrated. I was always under the impression that if you wanted something, you had to go out and grab it with both hands and be proactive in your own life, but sometimes life won’t always work at your own pace.

Sometimes the best thing we can do in life is exercise that most heralded of virtues, and just be patient. Take time to think, stop and enjoy the roses. Life already moves so very fast; so take time to live in the moment and enjoy what’s happening to you right now.

Good things will always come later, but today is only here for the now; and to sign off, I will quote the very wise words of a cartoon turtle.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift; that’s why it is called the present.” – Master Oogway
