Firstly guys! I’m still alive, I managed to go 24 hours without the internet. Ok let’s say about 20 hours without the Internet but that’s very good for 21 years old.
The first couple of hours were difficult; I was having withdrawal symptoms from Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, I don’t even like Facebook so I don’t understand why I was having withdrawals. But after couple hours it became normal, I didn’t want to check my phone or laptop every five minutes. I was able to spend valuable time with my family and friends and you really start to appreciate the time you get spend with your loved ones.
Well done Gifty! I know what you mean about withdrawal symptoms – it’s so easy to get sucked in and so hard to resist. But you’re right – if we stick to our guns, actually we can survive without the internet for a few hours and maybe find more time to do other things instead.
P.S. Loving the hat.
Not being someone who is attached to what is going on in social media – I don’t have withdrawal symptoms if I leave my phone behind – it makes me feel sad for those that do – I have had friends that have left their phone at work/home and spent most the time talking about what they would be missing out on – gossip , instead of enjoying the moment!
