“There’s nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard. Nothing in the world like a sore stomach for the right reasons.” – Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of being a Wallflower
My head has been over the place lately and I haven’t really been myself for many reasons; the hard life of a 21 year, haha. So when I got the chance to read Day 17 ‘use your strength’ I thought this couldn’t have come at a better time. It is my not so little sister’s 20th birthday today and I was thinking to myself one of my biggest strength is Love and what better way to use it. I didn’t want to go out and buy her new iPad because that won’t make her happy; 5 months down the line instead I decided to book a day off work, wake up super early to decorate the house with loads of balloons and happy birthday banners. Her reaction said a thousand words, that is that happiness money cannot buy.
“Hi, my name is Gifty. I’m a 20 something year old living in London. I spend most of my days working in the TV industry and most of my nights reading fashion magazine and blogs.
I have never been an unhappy person but sometimes you just need encouragement to keep you going through the good times and when things don’t appear to be going so well. So I have decided to join the 21 days of happiness to see if the whole process could help me through my good and bad days.”
