Buried in our subconscious there are many forgotten moments of pure joy, exhilarating experiences, the kind of laughter that leaves you weak at the knees, special magical moments of wonder and awe. Because of our busy lives and the predominance we have to ponder on the negative, ‘what if this happens, I can’t do that because etc’, these wonderful experiences are often buried. During the past couple of weeks, when asked, what is your favourite song, book or film, I have had to really think hard as its so long since I really thought or remembered what being truly at peace and happy is like in every day life. The tips and research of the HH programme has re awakened memories, made me smile and even found myself singing for no reason at all. (The sale of ear plugs has just risen.)
So now to add to my sneaky meditation sessions in my lunch hour, I will visualise a new me. 6 inches taller, thick wavy hair, … Well one can dream…
Ha ha ha, Dena. This is really lovely. It makes my heart sing thinking of you singing – at least the sale of ear plugs is helping the economy ;-)
It’s wonderful knowing the all of my pursuing you to think of you Happy things – on top of the rest – has re-awakened those memories and senses.
Good luck with the visualisation – don’t forget to think of your best POSSIBLE self and WRITE IT DOWN. It’s the act of writing that cements the goals and helps motivate you to actually achieve the vision. Maybe you’ll be teetering in heels soon with luscious hair extensions?? x
Off to the wig shop and digging out the killer heels, wonder if they will still fit! I’ll probably fall over and do myself a mischief.
Hope you’ll be wearing them to the Heroes summer BBQ Dena! This is delightful. A bit like Matt’s poem it should become one of our HH staple bits of media – thank you Dena for you special and inspiring contributions! x
Love reading your blogs Dena and great that it is having a positive effect on you. I love the pictures and images you choose to as they are always just right…
