“Hi, my name’s Matt and I am absolutely over the moon to be a Happynesshub Hero.
As a member of the emergency services, working long shifts and fitting family life in around other demands can be challenging. I’ve also lived with a condition called Dysthymia for the past 20 years, which is a form of chronic depression. I’m also Buddhist.
What does this mean for me? It means that I am more determined to surround myself with positivity, mindfulness and effective relaxation techniques. This is where the Happynesshub is perfect for me. I hope that by sharing my experiences of the 21 day programme with you, you too can benefit in some unique and meaningful way.”
One of my favourite quotes from this is “even machines need their batteries recharging!”
It’s really good to be reminded of that. For any kind of life – even bionic life – it’s so vital to recharge.
Speaking of which, nap time anyone…?
Matt you have inspired me to write my list now! Thank you, I smiled throughout your whole VLog! Perhaps you should become Head of Happynesshub retreats! I have never been in a Yurt but I did spend some time working in one on a youth project, creating films and images that were projected around its walls (long story!). Big question – WHICH OF YOUR HAPPY ACTIVITIES ARE YOU DOING TODAY – CONSCIOUSLY AND INTENTIONALLY??? XXXX
